In Four Years
I was out of town for Jeff's and my fourth year anniversary, but our liturgical anniversary is this weekend! So I thought it a good occasion to list some of the important things that happened in our first four years of marriage.
May 21st, 2005: Wedding Day!

May 22nd, 2005-July 16th, 2005: Honeymoon in Greece, Research in Jerusalem

(Jeff had to rent a skirt because he was wearing shorts!)
April 21st, 2006: Maia was born!

May 9th, 2007: Jeff graduated with his Ph.D. in Theology

May 4th, 2008: I graduated with my M.A. in Theological Studies (two years later than planned due to my starting Ph.D. coursework)

June 12th, 2008: Jeff got his first real job - a lecturer position; the first time in our marriage one of us had a job. :)
(sorry, no pics)
December 13th, 2008: Eva was born!

May 1st, 2009: I passed my Ph.D. qualifying exam (Thanks, St. Joseph the Worker)

May, 2009: Jeff signed his contract for a full-time, long-term professor position at Seton Hall
(again, no pictures)
So, in a mere four years, we've had two kids, gotten two degrees, Jeff's had two jobs, and, after August, we'll have moved two times.
It's been fun... but here's hoping we don't keep at this pace for our entire marriage. Retirement, anyone?
